homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of medicine that focuses on treating the individual and not just the symptoms of the disease. Each of us is unique so it is no surprise that the way in which we experience illness is also unique. We therefore need a system of medicine that addresses our own individual experience of illness.

As homeopaths we are like detectives investigating how you experience your dis-ease to find a medicine that is most similar to your individual symptoms.

The medicine is made largely from plants and minerals which are rendered potent by using a very small amount of the active substances in a highly diluted form which is then shaken (succussed).

Homeopathic medicine is safe, non-toxic and non-addictive.

Almost any complaint that you would take to a GP could benefit from a homoeopathic approach. It is safe and suitable for all ages from newborns

and pregnant women to the elderly.

Commonly treated conditions include:

- Stress & Anxiety

- Migraines

- Skin conditions e.g eczema and acne

- Allergies

- Injuries to tendons and ligaments

- Menstrual problems

- Urinary tract infections

I cannot inform you of the scopes of Homeopathy since The Advertising Standards Authority has not seen reliable evidence to substantiate the claims for the efficacy of Homeopathy however I am confident you can find relevant information  elsewhere, in books or on the internet.

The initial consultation lasts between 1-2 hours. During this time we will look at any health issues you may have, the symptoms and how they affect your life. We will also look at yours and your family's past medical history.

Together we will build a picture of who you are and how you live your life and this will then enable me to prescribe a medicine that is most suited to you.

Where appropriate we will also look at lifestyle and behavioural patterns that can sometimes keep us trapped in states of dis-ease. A follow up appointment will be made 3-5 weeks later which is enough time for the medicines to act.
